Speakers, in this article you will find out the system requirements for BigMarker, so you are properly prepared for speaking at a conference

To be able to speak seamlessly at a live session, you must make sure the following criteria are met:

  • Your browser is up-to-date and compatible.

  • Your connection speed is fast enough.

  • Your company network does not prevent you from accessing BigMarker.

💡 Before a conference, test your equipment on this page to make sure it is compatible with the BigMarker tool.

COMPATIBLE BROWSERS

To speak at a conference, you need to have the latest version of one of the following browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge or Opera.

For an optimal experience, we strongly recommend you use Google Chrome or Firefox.

🚨 Internet Explorer is no longer supported by Microsoft and cannot be updated, so you cannot use this browser to deliver a conference. We suggest you use one of the browsers mentioned above.

💡 Keep in mind that you can also join a conference from your tablet or mobile phone by downloading the BigMarker app.

CONNECTION SPEED REQUIRED

The optimal speed for speakers wanting to share microphones, webcams and presentation media is 10 Mbps or higher.

💡 A wired connection is much more stable and helps prevent the connection from dropping out and interference.

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about your connection if the speed test fails. To access the live session:

  • If possible, try connecting to another internet network or turn on your phone's hotspot.

  • Check out BigMarker's tips for improving your throughput.

FIREWALL OR PROXY

When you try to log in to a live session from a secure company network, the BigMarker tool may be blocked by a firewall.

If so, you will just see a black video screen or an error message advising "Cannot connect".

For the best possible Seekube experience and to make sure the whole platform works on your company network, please ask your IT/technical department to allow the following domains:

  • *.lync.com

  • *.teams.microsoft.com

  • teams.microsoft.com

  • *.bigmarker.com
